Where did the days go?

This is a question I had to ask myself when I realized that my last blogging was more than two weeks ago. I had my last day at work on friday. Now I'm ready for new experiences in August.
I'm looking forward to relaxing summer in the garden, big celebration with family and friends and hopefully a lot of time for sewing. We are not going anywhere for summer vacation. Planning a two week vacation late fall (if I have it my way). Anyway, I have already bought plane tickets and hotel for The Quilt Festival in Birmingham, England in August. I went last year, and loved it!

Since last blogging I have received lovely letters from Australia. Cathrine at Willow Valley Store is very generous giving away free iron on transferes for stitcheries. Thank you so much Cathrine. I have been lucky twice. My plans are to finish thise stitcheries to make corners in a tablecloth.

Some of you nice visitors have asked for the progress of my jeans quilt. The top is done! Now I have to do the quilting. My plan is to do staight diagonal lines like in the pillow with fourpatches.
The quilt is 150 cm square and jeans material is not that easy to handle in big format. I don't have a longarm quilting machine, just my Husqvarna Viking (and an old Pfaff ).

Remember the quilt I made for my cat, Gizmo? Funny that cat, he understands that it is his quilt and always put himself on the quilt when jumping on to the sofa. Just look at him! Is he having a good time, or not?

Digging throug my boxes of UFO's (do I have boxes of them? Yes!) I found this cute little Teddy Bear quilt with a stitched saying on. I going to finish this. Will make a cute little wallhanging for a Teddy Bear lover.

I need to finish a lot of my UFO's and make more small items for sale. Me and my mom are having a sales boot at Bjerkreimsmarken. My mom lives in Bjerkreim, an area of Sheep farmers. This year Bjerkreim is the host of Golden Shears World Championship 2008. I am very excited about this.

Have a nice day.

Nancy

That is a fabulous picture of your kitty and his quilt! Cats are smart -- know where the most comfort is to be found! :-)
