BOM and todays work

I simply love this BOM project from Lynette Anderson! The stitchery is small and perfect for a few hours work. Also the block plan indicates that this is not a big quilt. I simply love the idea of being almost done when all the blocks are done. I'm having great fun doing this BOM.

Last couple of days I have been working on more than secrets with my sewingmachine. Today I finished making thank-you-notes for every guest in my birthday party. I have not done any scrapbooking earlier, but the seating cards (is it called that??) turned out OK. The table was nicely decoratet with red roses, ivory and some glittery stuff in the middle. I used "glittery stuff" from the table decoration as a base on cardstock. I took photos of red roses from my garden because I forgot to take photos of the red roses on the table. I duplicatet the photos in passport size and cut out heart shapes. To make the rose-heart stand out I used some kind of foamstrips with glue on both sides to glue it on to the glittery stuff. All you educated scrapbookers know what I'm talking about. Pleace forgive me, this is my first attempt.
This is the photo I used for the hearts.

It was fun to play with photos and templets for cut out shapes. But no it's back to my sewing machine.

Tomorrow at 18.00 is the time for a winner of the drawsting bag.

Stay tuned!

Give Away - 1 year anniversery in bloggerland

10th of July 2007 I made my first post. I did not forget the date, but had so much going on with my birthday. My plan was a give away as an anniversery gift. I have made a random drawing of comments made during this 12 months. I picked month: November (2007). Date of my post: 9th. So, November 9th 2007 this made coments on my blog: Linda, Sølvi, Elin, Sigrun, Thimbleanna, Hanne, May Britt and Suze. The clue here is that you all have to comment to this post and tell me a very good/ original reason why I should pick you. Be creativ and have fun. You can win this draw-string-bag. It's small size ment to carry your coffee og tea-cup to your quiltmeeting e.c.

Gizmo and new quilt

Gizzmo enjoy the summer as much as I do. He love playing in between flowerpots and bushes. He can lay for a long time looking at ants and bugs in the grass.

This photo of Gizmo reminds me of the baby lions in The Zoo in Kristiansand. Sera, got four baby lions about a month ago. They have put up a web camera where you can watch the cuties as they grow. No sound, and light is turned off night time.

Today I have finished auilting and binding the jeans quilt for a bench in front porch. I made one more big pillow to go with it. The jeans quilt was quit heavy to work with, but I managed. I have new plans for tomorrow. More jeans projects.

Pincushion swap

I'we got mail! I signed up for a pincushion swap hosted by Linda. I received this cute Hegde Hog pincushion from Carin from Utah. Thank you very much, Carin.

I have had a lovely day out on the terrasse today. The sun was shining and it got a bit hot just laying down reading. I brought out my sewingmachine, cutting equipment and seam iron in the shadow. I finished some ironing (boring!!). I finished one more pillow made from old jeans and did some cutting for a new jeans project (tabelrunner for outdoor table). Also prepared my jeans quilt for quilting. Project for tomorrow.

Have a nice evening.
