Repro fabrics

Yesterday DH I and went to shop for equipment for a new bathroom. I just "happend" to pass by a quilt shop - QuilT'n. On the shelf this beautifull bundle of Jo Morton repors just cried out for me to put in my bag. SMILE

I have not decided yet what to make.

DH's gifts from Singapore

DH went to Singapore for a business trip after Easter Holiday. When he returned I had already left for our Annual Quilt meeting. He is a nice hubby and braught back thise goodies for me.

The fabric packs is collections of fq's so I just had to open them to show you. Smile.

I don't have any specific plans for this fabric collection, but I'm sure they will come to good use.

I am enjoying time in my sewingroom to destress from last weekend. A friend dropped by to day for a cup og coffee. She brought a wonderfull book: 5.500 Quilt blocks Designs by Maggie Malone. I just have to buy that book! You know what that means?? ;-) Yes, shopping on the internet again.

Shopping

As a part of the organizers I hardly had any time to go shopping, but returning home I had a few quiltrelated items in my bag. SMILE


Some patterns, white pen and fabrics from Northern Quilts. She have made a pattern for a darlig Penguine to keep a 3 liter bag of wine. From Lappemor I got black and white fabrics with cats and fabric pack in brown with hearts. Some precut hearts and fabrics from Lille Stasjon. I found red Moda fabric that I have been looking for from Kathrines Quiltestue. Quiltegaarden was vote as best shop. I got books and fabrics there. I also bought an interesting thing to thread ribbon or string in a draw-string-bag. The thing is called Easy Threader and I got it at Lena's Knits and pieces.

Norwegian Quilt Association Annual meeting

This weekend have been exclucive, exciting, exhausting and a great experience. More than 600 participants pre registrated and about same number of local visiterts. About 400 quilts at display in addition to a nice collection of pincushions.

On Friday evening we had a soup dinner. This is May-Britt and me having a ball!!


As a member of the organizing commity I had a lot to do. This is a quiet moment sunday at the lottery booth selling lottery tickets to my mom and a friend.

May-Britt supplied me with both photos because I did not bring my camera.

Tomorrow I will show my catch in the shopping area.

Confession

I have a confession to make... I have been bad... I have been shopping at some quiltshops on internet. But hey, it was so much fun - SMILE. The excange rate on USdollars is absolutly in my favor. I am waiting for a few more fat envelopes with fabrics and some bookcases from Amazon.

This is my catch so far. I allways wash all my fabrics before use. I have spent last couple of days washing and ironing. Now they are all ready to be used.

As you can see I have bought some yards of black and natural plain fabric. I'm planning to do a dive into my scrap bin(s) :-)

I still have not got the car on the road - to much snow and ice. As you can see I have a lot of fun stuff to do at home anyway :-)

Do not touch!

Easter holidays was mostly used to get on track with all incomming payments from participants for Norwegian Quiltassociation annual meeting and celebrating of 20th anniversary. No sewingtime. You probably know how it is when you don't get any time to sew, abstinence syndrome... Well, the only medicine working is to dive in to that pile of fabric and start a project! Norwegian Quiltassociation wanted small quilts saying : "Do not touch" as an anniversary gift from members. This is my gift.





It is still snowing a bit. I'm stuck in the house. DH left for Singapore yesterday. He prepared the car for summer before leaving! Who stupid was that! Now I can not use the car. To much snow in the roads, and I can not get out of the carport. I'm not up to manual labor removing snow! I really don't have to get out of the house untill friday - smile. Hopefully the sun have taken care of most of the snow by than.

Where did the Spring go??

Spring is an unpredictable season! Just look what happend where I live. Wednesday a friend of mine and I had coffee and chat in the bench in the "sunny spot". The wether was sunny and warm. Next day it started to snow and the wind was blowing heavy. Just like a snowstorm. It kept on for two days and yesterday the sun came through again, and the landscape dressed for winter. Brrr, I want the warm wether back!



This is my beautifull pine three. A few days ago it looked like this.

Ok. I bether put some logs in the fireplace and have a warm cup og coffee ..... and some chocolate.
